Our Story

Our historic property was inhabited by novelist Vingie Roe in the 1920s. She wrote many western novels including several made into silent films! Ms. Roe coined the term “Lost Valley Ranch,” as so many lost their way coming over the hill from Napa.

Our ranch vineyard estate is known as Cordero Vineyards. Cordero is Spanish for Lamb, our family that established and manage the vineyards. With elevations of 500’ to over 800’, the land is perfectly suited to grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot to Sauvignon Blanc, vines that thrive in the Napa Valley climate.

In 2023, Lost Valley Ranch Wines was founded to showcase the fruit of Cordero Vineyards. We are also a Verified Napa Valley Micro-Producer, as part of Save the Family Farms. We are proud to continue the legacy of small family farms on which Napa Valley was founded.
